I've been here a couple times for happy hour! I'd say they have the best deal on their oysters and drinks compared to a many other places I've been to. I believe oysters are about $1.50 or so each during this time. I've also tried their calamari, and crab cakes which are pretty good as well. Very clean and modern look to the place, and good service! I'll definitely be back and may even try some entrees.
This place existed around the area for 5 years now and I'm shocked it took us this long to try it! We always pass by it but never knew what kind of seafood they serve. After our first visit, we're all fans of this restaurant and were impressed with the freshness of the seafood. Not only that, but every dish we had tasted amazing and we could tell an experienced and knowledgeable chef made them. Definitely a hidden gem in the east bay. We came here for my birthday dinner with my parents in law. We got started with some raw oysters - they had so many variety of kinds and loved how they add the taste description for each one. The oysters tasted fresh good. Would love to come here during HH to get their oysters for $1.95 each. I ordered the cioppino and added linguine on there. This dish was massive! It came in a big bowl and I was only able to eat half of it. There were generous portions of seafood, noodles, and the broth tasted good. My only feedback is that the cheese overpowered the broth. Next time I would ask for no cheese so that I can enjoy the tomato and seafood based broth. Other items my table ordered with the scallops, enchiladas duo, and fresh halibut. The scallops tasted amazing - love the flavors there and came with nice portions. The enchiladas looked and tasted delicious as well, my father in law really enjoyed the seafood enchiladas (unique). My husband thought his halibut with asparagus and rice was good... we were all shocked at how fresh the seafood tasted and the flavors of the dishes. Definitely a top tier seafood restaurant in the area! For birthday they gave complimentary slice of key lime cheesecake/pie. SO GOOD. I was stuffed but I killed it. Service was great as well. You know we'll be back here to celebrate other special occasions!
My favorite fish tacos never disappoint. They also have a good happy hour. I would recommend Oceans to anyone in the area.
